Residential Compact Fluorescent Lighting Program – For Your Home
|
The Residential Compact Fluorescent Lighting (CFL) Program explains the
benefits of using Energy Star®-qualified compact fluorescent light bulbs in
your home. The program helps make it affordable to make the change. We’ll give
you a coupon worth $2.00 or $5.00 to be used toward the purchase of CFLs.
|
Am I eligible?
All Entergy Arkansas, Inc. residential customers are eligible to participate
in this program.
What are the savings?
As a residential customer, you will receive a coupon to use for purchasing
CFLs at participating retail locations. The coupon is worth $2.00 off a 3-pack
or $5.00 off a 5- or 6-pack of CFLs. Then, of course, you'll see additional
savings every month in your electric bill.
Why switch?
In addition to making it possible to buy CFLs at a discount, the program seeks
to explain why customers should upgrade to CFLs from incandescent lighting
(old type light bulbs). The program is also designed to urge retailers to
promote the energy savings and cost savings benefits of CFLs.
How Does The Program Work?
All Entergy Arkansas homeowners and renters will receive a coupon to be used
to discount the price of selected Energy Star®-qualified CFLs when purchased
at participating retail locations.
What Are The Incentives?
Residential customers will receive one coupon for EITHER $2.00 off a 3-pack of
GE ENERGY SMART, Energy Star®-qualified CFL bulbs or $5.00 off a 5- or 6-pack
of GE ENERGY SMART, Energy Star®-qualified CFL bulbs in their monthly utility
bill. Limit one redemption per customer.
What Does The Program Cost?
You pay nothing to participate in the program. Entergy Arkansas periodically
provides residential customers the program coupons in their monthly utility
bill. Any money spent would be to purchase Energy Star®-qualified CFL bulbs
with your discount coupons.
How Can I Participate In The Program?
There is no formal enrollment process for the CFL Program. To redeem your
coupon, simply present the coupon you receive in your monthly utility bill
when purchasing 3-, 5-, or 6-packs of GE ENERGY SMART, Energy Star®-qualified
bulbs at participating retail locations. Retailer locations are listed on the
back side of the coupon. RETAILERS: To become a program partner, retailers
sign an agreement with the Program Administrator.
